Statement from the Registrar

The Registrar's office is tasked with the responsibility of overseeing: Selection and Admissions, Examinations, Collaborations and partnerships, conducting seminars, workshops, symposiums and induction among other roles and duties.
The institute is mandated to train industrial skills and entrepreneurship for industries and self-employment. We have tailor-made courses for all our customers. We have also embraced  TVET programmes among other programmes, which give flexibility to all levels of studies.
The Registrar's office is committed to providing continuous quality service to our clients and serving stakeholders within the shortest time possible and to their satisfaction.

The available options to prospective students are as follows;

  • Diploma/CBET level 6 - Applicants should have a minimum of C- (Minus)
  • Craft/CBET Level 5 - Applicants should have a mean grade of D Plain in KCSE.
  • Artisan / CBET level 4, 3, 2 - Applicants should have a minimum qualification of KCPE to qualify for admissions
  • Short courses are tailored made and developed as per the customer's needs. Our courses are examined by the National Examination Body, which includes KNEC, NITA and CDACC, as well as the institute's examinations.
  • The office of the registrar is open to all who wish to get our quality training regardless of their qualifications, level of basic education, age and nationality.
Roles and Responsibilities

The office of the Registrar is an integral part of the Institute.  It is tasked with the following duties which are central to the academic success of the institution and its core mandate:

We strive to continually provide fulfilling customer service to our trainees, parents and all our stakeholders through continuous improvement. Our programmes continue to meet market needs in a dynamic work environment with a curriculum that is outstanding; competency-based, based; providing a broad range of experiences and opportunities for learners. Our trainees are assessed through various examining bodies, like KNEC and NITA exams, among others.

We look forward to enhancing our engagement with the entire Republic of Kenya and consolidating our reputation as one of the country’s most engaged Industrial Institute.
